So I know that Once Upon A Time on ABC has been on for quite some time but I finally started watching it and I am hooked!!!! The reason it took me so long to give it my interest was because of my sour experience with Grimm on NBC. My roommate DVR’d them and after a rerun infested weekend, took a glance. I was not expecting the plot that followed and my love for Lana Parrilla as The Evil Queen/Regina. So Emma Swan is a bondswoman who on her 28th birthday gets visited by a kid, Henry, who happens to be her son she gave up for adoption. She takes him back to Storybrooke to return him to his adopted mother, Regina. Henry lets Emma know that the citizens of Storybrooke are actually characters from story books that are under the curse of The Evil Queen and she will help break it, she just thinks it’s an over active imagination. When Emma returns Henry, she feels like she needs to stay in town to keep an eye on him after Regina is very rushed on getting her out of town. I love how the show goes from fairybook to real life and get to see the contrasts. This series also gives us a bit of behind the scenes of our favorite tales and also a what happened after the happily ever after. Hello hottie, Josh Dallas who plays Prince Charming/John Doe!!!!! Ginnifer Goodwin is awesome as Snow White but as Mary Margaret she’s mousey and blah. I think the one actor who really grabbed my interest was Jared Gilmore, as Henry. I love his point blank attitude with Regina and his energy to get thinks back to normal. I am only on the fifth episode but I can definitely say that this show will be around for a long time. Watch it on Sundays on ABC and if you want to catch it from the begining the first 5 episodes will be available on DVD on February 14 exclusively at Target.
